Spiritual Direction
Are you looking for Spiritual Direction?
A spiritual companion, guide, or director prayerfully listens to the joys and struggles of a person and journeys with him or her, looking deeply at how the Holy Spirit is working in his or her life. A spiritual companion can help us grow in a deeper relationship with God and reflect back to us God’s presence in our life, relationships, and world — leading us to a deeper awareness of Christ walking with us. Through dialogue, the director and the directee discuss the action of God in his/her life while building and strengthening his/her relationship with Jesus.
Spiritual direction can anchor us in prayer, help us heal, lead us to spiritually discern our choices, and faithfully respond to God, all of which can be life changing.
At Holy Name Cathedral Deacon Dan Welter and Sr. Katie Mitchell are trained spiritual directors. If you would like to talk further with one of them, please contact Sr. Katie Mitchell, Director of Spiritual Formation & Accompaniment or call her at (312) 573-4406.
