Spiritual Life

Adult Bible Study

We offer two options for Adult Bible Study groups:

Wednesday Evening Bible Reflection

Every Wed. evening from 6:30pm to 8:00pm

This group utilizes a process called Lectio Divina: praying with the Bible that involves reading, meditating, and praying. They review the previous Sunday’s readings, and then reflect on their meaning and significance in our lives. There is open discussion and all are encouraged to participate. We also provide historical background, and a variety of commentary and insight from authoritative Catholic sources, in the form of an agenda for your perusal.

The group rotates weekly gatherings: in-person with an online option, and then with a total online week.

Thursday Morning Bible Study

Every Thurs. morning from 10:15am to 12:00pm

This group meets to explore the historical and academic study, focusing on each Book of the Bible. Beyond the extensive study, there is an opportunity to apply the significance of each session to daily life.  Eugene Finnegan is the main facilitator, and others assist as discussion leaders.

The group meets in-person with an online option.

If you are interested in joining either of these groups, contact Dr. Ken Ortega.
