Cabrini Ministry for New Immigrants

The mission of the Cabrini Ministry is to continue the vision of Saint Francis Xavier Cabrini, the patron saint of immigrants, by pastorally accompanying the Spanish-speaking people in our parish and neighborhood and by connecting them with the broader Catholic Church in Chicago. This includes an outreach ministry to all Spanish-speaking people, those who have been here for years, as well as those who have just arrived. We meet people wherever they are: work, local businesses, shelters, in Church and homes to encounter, listen, learn and serve.

Join Us in Accompanying Our Migrant Sisters and Brothers

Everyone is warmly invited to join us for Mass in Spanish every Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Parish (25 E. 29th Street, approximately four miles south of Holy Name Cathedral). Together, we gather in prayer, celebrate our faith, and build a welcoming community for all.

Monthly Free Health Clinic & Community Gathering

On the second Sunday of each month, our Sunday Mass is followed by a special day of hospitality and outreach for our migrant sisters and brothers.

Schedule

• 1:00 p.m. – Mass in Spanish
• Following Mass – Free Health Clinic and a simple lunch for our migrant families

Whether you can help with hospitality, assist during the health clinic, or simply share your presence, your support makes a meaningful difference. We hope you will join us as we continue the mission of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini by welcoming and serving our migrant sisters and brothers with dignity, compassion, and hope.
