Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a Holy Name sponsored service ministry providing seasonal tax preparation, certified by the IRS, for over two decades. With this free service, volunteers prepare taxes for clients with incomes below an IRS determined threshold.

Holy Name Cathedral is pleased to announce it will again sponsor the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program this year. Tax preparation is available on Saturdays Feb. 1, Feb. 22, March 22, and April 12 (these dates only) for clients with incomes below $70,000.

The site is open 9:30am – 3:30pm. Clients are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis provided they arrive by 12:30pm. For assistance, please bring a government issued photo ID and Social Security card for all individuals listed on the tax return -including dependents and all tax documents. There is no charge for this service.
