Blessings in a Backpack
Every Monday morning, we have kids across Chicago and in our parish going to school hungry. Holy Name Cathedral is proud to be a Chicago chapter of Blessings in a Backpack that helps meet this need. During the 202/23 school year the Chicago chapter fed over 5000 children across 68 schools weekend food packs. For this period the Holy Name Cathedral Chapter provided 300 children from St. Thomas Canterbury and St. Mary’s a weekend food pack. Opportunities to be involved in this ministry range from fundraising, packing, delivery, and several needs that can be done virtually in the comfort of your home.
