175th Anniversary Mini-Concert
Monthly mini-concert in the Cathedral

As part of our 175th Anniversary year celebration, we invite you to our next mini-concert in the Cathedral on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 11:45am. This month our mini-concert will feature Alexis Langlois, Soprano, a member of the Schola Cantorum and a young artist with the Opera Festival of Chicago, accompanied by David C. Jonies, Director of Music & Organist, Holy Name Cathedral.
Alexis Langlois is a Houston, TX native and is currently based in Chicago, IL. She completed her Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at DePaul University in 2023, and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Loyola University of New Orleans in 2020.
Her recent operatic highlights include Zerlina from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Norina from Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, Despina from Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Giunone from Montiverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria, Paquette from Bernstein’s Candide, and Linfea from Cavalli’s La Calisto with the DePaul Opera Theater.
This summer, she performed with the Opera Festival of Chicago as a Young Artist. Earlier this Spring, she sang in the ensemble for the Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Theater of Chicago in their production of Ruddigore and became contracted with the Chicago Symphony Chorus as a volunteer chorus member.
