JAN BOKSZCZANIN CONCERT

Experience the beauty of Holy Name Cathedral during an organ concert with Jan Bokszczanin. He has recorded over twenty CDs of organ music for renowned record labels, and in 2012, Polihymnia publishing house released his monograph, “Main Tendencies of Russian and Soviet Organ Music.” The same publishing house, under his editorship, published seven volumes of Marian Sawa’s works. He also compiled and prepared for publication a 12-volume anthology, “Masterpieces of Organ Music”, a collection of Renaissance and Baroque organ music from various European centers.
Many contemporary composers, such as Paul Ayres, Miłosz Bembinow, Carson Cooman, Krzesimir Dębski, Alicja Gronau-Osińska, Paweł Łukaszewski, Thierry Pallesco, Dariusz Przybylski, Weronika Ratusińska, Marian Sawa, Piotr Tabakiernik, Piotr Wróbel, and Ignacy Zalewski, have written works for him. Marian Sawa composed and dedicated eleven works for him.

This series provides world-class performers in a full-length concert format multiple times each season and mini concerts about five times a season featuring local artists who are connected to the Cathedral Music Ministry, all at no charge.
