By growing our endowment, we can offset operating costs and invest more in ministries, outreach, education, and engagement. With your support, we’ll move beyond maintenance to strengthen beloved programs and spark new innovations, ensuring traditions flourish and grow in fresh, inspiring ways.
Our Place As Chicago’s Cathedral
We look to better position Holy Name Cathedral as a cultural and spiritual center of Chicago. Inspired by renowned Cathedrals worldwide, we envision enhancements that foster deeper engagement and connection, ensuring every guest leaves informed and connected to our mission. These include interactive kiosks highlighting the Cathedral’s story and Pope Leo’s legacy, thoughtfully placed historic plaques, and refreshed take-home materials.
Planning for Tomorrow
As we continue to move forward, we are excited to take the next step in planning a long awaited dedicated gathering space – a welcoming place for fellowship after Mass, ministry events, and celebrations. Due to our location and space constraints, this effort requires careful planning. Funds will support a professional campus study to identify opportunities for a functional gathering area and other enhancements that strengthen our ministry.
