YA – Programs & Activities
Our Social, Service and Spiritual Committees develop a wide range of events for young adults in their 20s and 30s. We host our own events and team up with other Catholic organizations to put on events around the city.
Lenten Pilgrimage – March 25th, 2017
Immerse yourself in the holy season of Lent with our Lenten Bus Pilgrimage on Saturday, March 25 – Feast of the Annunciation. We will meet at Holy Name Cathedral at 12:15 P.M. for check-in. Buses will depart from there promptly at 12:30 P.M.
On our journey, we will visit four beautiful churches, including St Ita, St Joseph Seminary Chapel, Queen of All Saints Basilica, and Our Lady of Victory. At each church, there will be time for personal prayer, and for a special guided tour highlighting art and architecture. At Our Lady of Victory, we will conclude our tour with the celebration of Mass.
We will return to Holy Name Cathedral at 5:45 PM. After the tour is over, everyone is welcome to also join us for dinner and fellowship.
The price for the pilgrimage is $25.00 per person. This covers the cost of all transportation and tours, but not the optional meal after the pilgrimage is over.
Tickets may be purchased in one of two ways:
1) Online via Eventbrite: https://hncyalent2017.eventbrite.com/
* Please note that online orders will require an additional processing fee on top of the $25.00 ticket price.

HNCYA and CCJB Weekly Prayer Group – Every Thursday during Lent
Join us this Lent as we share Christ’s love by sharing prayers and meditations that bring us closer to Him, and to the love He seeks to share with all of us!
Holy Name Cathedral Young Adults and the Catholic Charities Junior Board are joining for weekly prayers together each Thursday, and we would love to pray with you too! At each meeting we will share prayers individually special to us, reflect on the Gospel, share music, and then pray the Rosary together, along with a prayer for the intentions of all who are present.
We will meet at 6:00 PM in the club room across the courtyard from Holy Name Cathedral.
All experience levels are welcome, and nothing is required but a heart seeking to share this joy!
If you have any prayers that you might like to share with the group, please bring them! If you would like to bring a small snack to share, you are welcome to do that too. And if you are interested in performing live music for the group, please let us know!
If you have any questions or ideas, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
